Details

The Asia-Pacific Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT) sector is undergoing rapid growth, with the cell therapy market projected to expand at nearly 30% year-on-year, reaching up to 7 billion USD by 2030. The region is home to world-leading cell therapy developers, a strong clinical trial infrastructure, and increasing levels of government investment. However, market fragmentation continues to limit APAC’s ability to scale and commercialise CGTs on a global level. This panel will explore how coordinated, cross-border collaboration can transform APAC from a collection of high-potential nations into a unified, globally competitive CGT powerhouse, particularly in the context of the current political climate. Drawing on real-world experiences, the session will examine the challenges and opportunities across the region, with a focus on practical steps toward regional integration, including harmonizing regulatory frameworks, establishing shared manufacturing capabilities, enabling cross-border clinical trial data recognition, and fostering trust-based partnerships.
