ASEAN Regulatory Requirements - addressing the practical issues workshop

Gain an appreciation of ASEAN medical device regulations and the implementation across each country.

Get an update on current topics of interests on ASEAN medical device regulations.

Clarify questions you might have in your preparation for registering medical devices in the region. (Please provide your questions in advance via email).

Appreciation of the requirements for Good Distribution Practice Medical Devices (GDPMD). GDPMD has been and, continued to be, rolled out across the ASEAN countries. GDPMD is a requirement for obtaining Import/wholesale/distribution license.

In addition, there will be a separate but equally important topic on the concepts of Legal Manufacturer and Contract Manufacturer and the requirements for Quality Management System.

Adelaide BioMed City
Adelaide Biomed City (ABMC) is a $4.2B health and medical district in the heart of Adelaide, comprised of leading-edge anchor institutes and companies, which cluster and connect with start-ups, business incubators and accelerators.

The site includes The Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) (one of Australia’s most technologically advanced healthcare facilities and the biggest Automated Pharmacy Distribution System), the South Australian Health & Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), health and medical disciplines of The University of Adelaide and University of South Australia, and co-located healthtech companies.


Tonsley Innovation District
The Tonsley Innovation District is a member of the Global Institute of Innovation Districts and is a leading advanced manufacturing precinct. Mawson Lakes | Australian National Fabrication Facility – South Australia
Delegates are invited to participate in a guided tour of world-class cleanrooms, state-of-the-art Precision Engineering Centre and Industry 4.0 Testlab located at University of South Australia's Future Industries Institute, Mawson Lakes.

ANFF-SA is open to industry and academic users. The team can also deliver high-quality devices and samples on time as well as training.
