Details
No single source of capital can fund every stage of a biotechnology company’s development.
Companies increasingly combine grants, philanthropy, venture capital, corporate investment, strategic partnerships and alternative financing to move from scientific validation through clinical development and commercial scale. But these sources are not interchangeable. Each brings different expectations, constraints and implications for ownership, control, development priorities and future fundraising.
This discussion examines how biotechnology companies can sequence and combine different forms of capital, where funding sources reinforce one another, and where they may create conflict or limit future options. Bringing together perspectives from across the funding landscape, the session will explore the practical decisions founders and boards must make when building a financing strategy capable of supporting long-term development in an increasingly competitive global market
