Discovery & Advanced Therapeutics Breakout Room

Details

Breakthrough science alone will not create the biotechnology industries of tomorrow. Global leadership will depend on the ecosystems that enable discovery to translate into impact—from world-class research infrastructure and innovation precincts to advanced manufacturing, digital capability, investment, talent and international partnerships. As biotechnology expands beyond medicine into climate, food, advanced materials and the broader bioeconomy, countries around the world are investing to build competitive biotechnology ecosystems and capture the economic and societal opportunities they create. This discussion will explore what leading innovation ecosystems are doing globally, where Australia can build distinctive strengths, and the capabilities, infrastructure, investment and international partnerships needed to position Australia as a globally connected leader in the next era of biotechnology.
