Plenary / Clinical Innovation & Patient Impact Breakout Room

Details

Regulatory approval is often viewed as the finish line, yet it is only the beginning of the journey to patient impact. Many innovative medicines, diagnostics and medical technologies never become routine clinical practice despite demonstrating safety, effectiveness and regulatory success. Moving innovation into everyday healthcare depends on far more than scientific excellence. Health technology assessment, reimbursement, implementation planning, clinician confidence, health system readiness and real-world evidence all influence whether an innovation becomes the new standard of care. Bringing together leaders from clinical practice, industry, health technology assessment, patient advocacy and healthcare delivery, this discussion explores what it takes to translate regulatory success into real-world impact. Through practical examples, panellists will examine the partnerships, implementation strategies and system-wide collaboration required to embed innovation into clinical practice and deliver lasting benefits for patients and healthcare systems.
