Whilst AI scribes and other point solutions generate the headlines, they can also divert attention from the harder conversation we need to have about how AI and digital technologies can drive a deeper transformation of health and care. In this keynote, Bronwyn Le Grice looks beyond AI's automation and administrative gains to explore how software-based and software-enabled health and medical technologies can effect system-wide transformation, driving the shift from episodic, site-based treatment to a continuum of care that reaches patients and consumers wherever they are. She will also examine how regulatory, safety and governance frameworks are evolving, or failing to, in support of this shift nationally and internationally, and what it all means for Australian innovators, investors and health services over the next decade.
