Details
Diagnostics are the invisible innovator of modern healthcare. Every patient journey begins with a diagnosis, and almost every clinical decision relies on timely, accurate diagnostic information. Yet while new therapies often dominate conversations about healthcare innovation, the technologies that enable earlier detection, guide treatment decisions and monitor patient outcomes rarely receive the same attention.
Advances in pathology, molecular diagnostics, genomics, digital pathology, artificial intelligence and point-of-care testing are transforming how diseases are detected, characterised and managed, making diagnostics an increasingly critical enabler of precision medicine and more sustainable healthcare systems.
Bringing together leaders from pathology, diagnostics, clinical care, industry and health systems, this session explores how diagnostic innovation is reshaping healthcare, improving patient outcomes and creating value across the entire care continuum. As healthcare shifts towards prevention, precision and value-based care, this discussion considers why diagnostics should be recognised not as a supporting technology, but as one of the fundamental drivers of healthcare innovation and the future of medicine
