Details

Biotech startup companies face many a hurdle, but amongst others, attaining the right transition from genomics translational research to tech transfer and finally to commercialization of their R&D intellectual property often makes the top of the list. Here we propose to foster a discussion on how we efficiently guide a company from initial concept to efficient scale up, and through the required steps to achieve manufacturing of a commercially viable product. This round table discussion will focus on how to overcome tech transfer obstacles in order to scale up operations at pace, with the aim to successfully launch a competitive genomics product in the global biotech market. Focus topics of this panel discussion will include genomics tech transfer’s do’s and don’ts, regulatory affairs and quality considerations in the rapidly evolving genomics space, the pitfalls of scaling up whilst maintaining healthy cashflow, controlling both cost of goods and operational expenses, as well as the importance of establishing key partnerships early in the game. This multifaceted approach conveyed and enriched through our panel of experts will aim to provide a platform that brings value to the Ausbiotech core audience to kickstart a wider conversation centered around the crucial efforts required to take genomics business ideas from bench to market, straight from the mouth of who has done it all before.
