Details
The Government has committed to securing a stronger future through its 2024 Medical Sciences Co-Investment Plan, however, expanded market volume, a necessity in any package of support, must come from a genuine commitment by governments to source and procure locally made products, materials, and services, creating economies of scale, and helping to deliver a necessary precursor to global competitiveness.
To improve medtech SME access to health sector markets, this panel will reflect on the challenges when selling into local markets, draw on their experiences selling to global markets, and take key learnings from the other sector assistance programmes that have successfully developed local procurement opportunities, to reveal how Australia can enable SME suppliers to position themselves competitively for publicly funded procurement.
