Australia is on the cusp of significant technological changes that have the potential to transform the health/life sciences sector of which quantum technology is at the centre.  The emerging quantum industry presents a number of exciting opportunities.  These include: - Sensors that have the potential to enable portable, high-performance diagnostics tools. - Computers that simulate and identify the behaviour of unknown molecules, enabling rapid vaccine and drug development. - Computers that can optimise logistics processes that could improve hospital operations such as resource management, scheduling and the transportation of patients. Australia’s National Quantum Strategy sets a vision that in 2030, Australia is recognised as a leader of the global quantum industry. Industry has a key role to play in informing where quantum technology can deliver the greatest value to the life sciences sector. This session aims to showcase some of the key quantum capabilities within Australia and discuss tangible opportunities and benefits that quantum can provide to the health sector.
