Consumer and patient perspectives are often underrepresented in healthcare innovation, leading to solutions that fail to fully address patient needs and priorities. Including the patient voice and lived experiences in health innovation is essential to ensuring that new solutions genuinely meet patient needs. This session will discuss strategies for engaging patients and consumers early in the development process and explore the concept of co-design, where patients become active partners in creating healthcare innovations.
